First SoracteLite session in Genève: Laser Ablation Treatment of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia and Focal Prostate Cancer
The 3rd of May 2018, at Clinique la Colline in Genève, Dr. Stefano Regusci and his team preformed the first SoracteLite treatments in Switzerland. Thanks to the support of Dr. Patelli and Dr. Paganelli from Pesenti Fenaroli Hospital in Alzano Lombardo (Italy),where the laser procedure was applied for the first time, both patients affected by Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia and Focal Prostate Cancer were treated with the SoracteLite procedure.
This was the first Prostate Cancer treatment in Europe performed with SoracteLite.
The BPH treatment was carried on under US guidance, while the focal Prostate Cancer treatment was performed with the fusion of pre-treatment MR images of the prostate with ultrasound-guided images in real time that ensures a precise localization of the lesion.
Both patients were treated successfully without any pain or complications and Dr. Regusci expressed his satisfaction about the procedure and its results.
